Someday...
I am bone tired. I have been busting my hump working, trying, sweating, toiling in the real estate market. My seeds sown 3 years ago are starting to sprout and we could have a bumper crop. I hope. I work when possible teaching ESL in harrison 2, not because I am a teacher but because it stretches the dollars available for now. I still do all the things a "wife" has to do, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, car pool, kid patrol. Nothing is EVER taken off my plate. WHY?
Some day my children will soar higher and farther than I ever did. Some day my children will have all the doors possible open to them. Their education is paramount. If they choose to do this or that, I just want to make sure it is a door they CHOOSE to walk through. Not the only door left open.
My children Could be the 4th generation graduate from University of Southern CALIFORNIA, a world re-known school. My children could go to Stanford, MIT, Brown or Willamette.
If they choose they could go to university of south Christianity. So be it, but they will not be blind Christian soldiers with no other options.
Regardless of what my children CHOOSE to do, they will soar, because the doors are open. I will toil to make it so.

Adventure
Sometimes you just gotta go. I have beach fever bad (as always this time of year). I want an adventure for myself, my family, my children. I put our home on http://www.globalpacificvacationhomes.com/listings/ I want to go to a different place this summer. 3-5 weeks. Nobody we know. New experiences, a small non-english speaking place. Fish, local market, somebody else's home which we call home. Opening my home to their adventure. Sand, beach, experience, ADVENTURE!

ELLA'S POST
THE LIGHTS ON THE CHRISTMAS TREE ARE FUN TO TURN ON AND OFF. I LIKE TO TURN THEM ON IN THE MORNING AND TURN THEM ON AT NIGHT. I HELPED TO DECORATE THE TREE. WE WENT TO THE BIRDMAN TO PICK OUT THE TREE. ELLA, DADDY, ALBERT AND HENRY WENT TO PICK IT OUT. I HOPE SANTA COMES, AND I HOPE HE IS GIVING A LOT OF PRESENTS. I HAVE GOT TO GO EAT QUICHE.

"You know, sometimes it's good to question statistics. To closely examine the method behind the numbers. To be a critical thinker. But when somebody I love (Hi, Nancy!) sent me these percentages recently, I just took them on faith. Sadly enough, they just felt correct.
During my father's years on this earth, our nation was at war 13.5% of the time.
During my years on this earth, our nation has been at war 17.5% of the time.
During my son's years on this earth, our nation has been at war 37% of the time.
During my grandchild's years on this earth, our nation has been at war 63% of the time. "
This comes from my friend's Sue's Blog
What I find most disturbing-
During Henry's years on this earth, our nation was at war 72% of the time.
During Albert's years on this earth, our nation was at war 97% of the time.
Ella has not known a year on this earth, when our nation was not at war.
Peace

This weekend
I was suposed to go pheasant hunting. It just did not work out. Now I know why. Henry and Tom went skiing on saturday. Henry is in the 5th grade free ski program. They had a blast. They went to Loveland and just did what "Dudes" do!
Sunday am woke up to "Get back in bed" Henry had made, coffee, and pancakes! Both were delicious. The newspaper was brought in and delivered. It was so special to be taken care of.
Maybe things will be O.K
